The purpose of the Indiana Football Officials Association is:
To promote the spirit of fair play, sportsmanship, safety, and welfare of all involved with organized football in Indiana.
To maintain the highest standards of integrity and professionalism among football officials in the state of Indiana.
To continually train and educate Indiana football officials promoting use of consistent mechanics and application of rules.
To recruit and retain football officials in the state of Indiana.
To represent the interests, needs, and concerns of Indiana football officials to various sanctioning bodies and coaches organizations.
